Project: Marketing Specialist Support

Celebrating another year working with Rosebridge and Pro Sport… our time working together has been eventful, productive and actions packed! From a safe pair of hands to help bridge a resource gap, to planning, set up and implementation of marketing projects, from a Minister event to monthly newsletter, content creation to website updates, Christmas cards and more!

Work with Rosebridge and Pro Sport began in September 2023 and I’m now booked one day a week until October 2025, with 6 months notice, as a Freelance Marketing Specialist, mentoring a bright young marketing graduate.

I extend the celebrations and my congratulations to Rosebridge and the entire team on their achievement, announced last week. Rosebridge and Pro Sport have been ranked in the Top 10 of the FTAdviser Top 100 Financial Advice Firms for 2024! 🍾

In August 2023, I was introduced to a client in need of a marketing specialist to develop and execute a marketing strategy for a busy team of directors.

My role was to provide a trusted, experienced, and capable pair of hands with transferable skills to manage the marketing efforts while the client recruited for a permanent position. Rosebridge and Pro Sport needed immediate support (2 days per week) to maintain their marketing momentum and ensure the smooth execution of their strategy during the recruitment period (August 2023 – July 2024).

I took the marketing strategy and rolled out the plan, working closely with Kath and the team of directors, Phil, Gareth, and Steven. In May 2024, the marketing manager position was filled, and I transitioned to a mentoring role for a bright young graduate, sharing knowledge and know-how.

Currently, my brief is to act as a mentor for the marketing manager and a marketing specialist to the board:

  • The board agrees on a headline plan and delegates tasks to the marketing manager, while I provide guidance and coaching to help complete tasks.
  • I serve as a resource for the marketing manager to report to and bounce ideas off.

In August 2023, I was introduced to a client in need of a marketing specialist to develop and execute a marketing strategy for a busy team of directors.

Freelance Marketing Support

Project Jan 2024 – Feb 2025

Project: 2 – 3 days per week, to support a busy sales, support and marketing team.

I first met the client on a call whilst gaining product knowledge about Flexijet 3D for, one of their dealer in the UK, my existing client.

That call turned out to be a great meeting as a couple of months later I got a call to see if I would be interested in helping to support Flexijet North America’s sales and marketing efforts.

What an amazing opportunity, working internationally, with an amazing team who truly know the meaning of collaboration and supporting others to do the best they can to get the results they want!

Ethos and values aligned, I jumped at the chance.

Initially I was booked 2 days until end of March 2024 and now the client has extended our time of working together to 2 – 3 days a week until the end of Feb 2025.

During our time working together, I share my knowledge, ideas, and 30 years’ experience in set-up, planning, implementation, strategy, and management of marketing, creative, design, print, web, socials, live events and motion graphics projects to help get the results and value we all want from our work.

  • To provide feedback, ideas and suggestions on existing marketing efforts.
  • To create content for organic and paid social media ads, to brief from collateral supplied.
  • Website revamp, bring line with marketing efforts. Create nav and new page, all content and graphics for new sections and pages, work with existing platform HubSpot.

Get more prospects with the funds to purchase, to have a conversation with the sales team which will lead to on online product demonstration.  

It was envisaged from the outset that the time difference would not be a concern. Way of working agreed the project is running smoothly, I have members of the team in Europe who are reachable during my working day if there is anything that requires a quicker response than our working dynamic with the North American team but to date the systems, tools and process we have in place works.

Project Dec 2023 – Jan 2024

Project: Share Knowledge and Skills 

2 days, to help a friend bridge a knowledge gap to get started promoting her business.

Felicity was first introduced on LinkedIn, following a recommendation from a friend. After working together for 8 months a friendship developed that extended outside the work environment.

Therefore, I was delighted when Felicity asked me if I could help with her new venture, a little bit of guidance and getting some content together for socials.  

Plan and Actions

Develop and create some video content for LinkedIn as a series of Tips.

The plan:

  • Not too polished content, natural, authentic, raw but confident.
  • Felicity is to be front and center.
  • 1 day to get as much content done as we could, in 1 shoot.

Project: Stonegate Glass Tooling Campaign Planning, Set-up, Implementation and Management

Working 1 day per week, rolling month to month, to help bridge a resource gap.

Agency Digital Marketing Manager

Freelance Support

After being tagged and recommended in the Agency’s Linkedin post I contacted the agency.

The client called and checked my credentials were right for them.

An intro meeting at their office in Leeds followed, to discuss the role and to meet the team.

We mutually agreed, to work together for 2 days initially, to ensure we were the right fit.

The first booking complete, I was booked for the rest of March, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, to provide freelance support to fill resource gaps whilst the client seeks to recruit a full-time person.

Mid March I was booked again until the end April, then booked again in May, June, July and August! Recurring Wednesdays and Thursdays. 

I am now booked to work projects to completion until end November.

Wild and Wondrous is an eco florist, the owner is a good friend. 

So when Nicola called to say she needed help with her marketing I didn’t hesitate to make it happen. 

We made time in our busy schedules to get together the very next weekend.

I first started to work with this Private Client, in August 2021, on a 3-month contract. During the course of 2022, I work recurring and ad hoc projects.

The role developed and evolved over time, from working directly with the sales team to onboarding new members of the team.

It’s great to continue what we’ve started and help set the foundations for a more effective and smoother process for new team members and the wider team.
